Larry Carlton did not know he was on the “Gaucho” album, because his contribution was recorded during the “Aja” sessions. A tape for a song titled “The Second Arrangement” was accidentally erased, and Donald Fagan resurrected a discarded track to create “Third World Man” as the “Gaucho” album closer.
