George Harrison plays slide guitar on some of the tracks.
That’s him on the title track, I Wrote A Simple Song.
Who is playing bass on here? And I’m trying to hear George Harrison’s guitar part – is it the rhythm guitar with the wah all over it?
Louis Johnson
Thank you for naming Louis Johnson as the bassist on the album. It wasn’t in the album credits, and I’ve been thinking about it since 1971.
I should have put it together: he played with Billy in the live band, and Q had a hand in all their careers.
Hello – FYI – the credits say George Harrison is playing the guitar solo.
It is clearly David T Walker playing the solo!
I grew up listening to the Beatles and David T. In addition I worked as a bassist with DTW for 15 years
Thanks for your contribution…
